Allah Necklace Explanation
In Islamic tradition, it is considered a sign of respect and reverence to handle anything that contains the name of Allah (God) or any sacred scripture, such as the Quran, with care and mindfulness. The reason behind removing or covering items with the name of Allah when entering the bathroom is rooted in the idea of maintaining cleanliness and avoiding any potential disrespect to the sacred name.
The bathroom is regarded as a place of impurity and is meant for performing bodily functions, which are considered less pure acts. As a result, bringing sacred writings or objects with the name of Allah into such a place may be seen as disrespectful or inappropriate.
Ibn Qudaamah (May Allah have mercy on him) said in al-Mughni (1/109): "If he wants to enter the washroom and has something with him on which the name of Allah is mentioned, it is preferred for him to put it down or take it off. If he keeps with him the thing that he has on which the name of Allah is mentioned, and takes care not to drop it, or turns the part of the ring on which it is written to face his palm, there is nothing wrong with that."
